Partner Organisations
Strategic partner organisations, partner organisations and allies to SCS in the Middle East and North Africa
The about 40 partner organisations and allies in the MENA region can be separated into three categories: strategic partner organisations, partner organisations and allies. Civil society partner organisations are separated into two groups; strategic partner organisations and partner organisations.
Strategic partner organisations are organisations with a holistic approach to the CRC and potential to become strong advocates for the rights of the child. SCS aims at supporting them with organisational development (OD) assessments and institutional strengthening on all fundamental dimensions.
Partner organisations are strong in certain thematic issues and SCS primarily commits to support them with CRP and networking. There is, however, no clear-cut division between the two categories.
Allies are organisations and agencies outside civil society, such as government bodies, UN agencies and research institutes. SCS cooperates with them and advocates for an enhanced child rights approach but it is not SCS’s role to strengthen them institutionally.
