Empowering local Palestinian NGOs in Lebanon working with children and youth by supporting capacity building and service provision

Lebanon :

South Lebanon : Buss Refugee Camp, Ein el-Hilweh Refugee Camp,

Beirut region: Bourj el- Barajaneh Refugee Camp, Shatila Refugee Camp

North Lebanon : Nahr el-Bared Refugee Camp.

The goal of the project is to empower five local Palestinian NGOs in Lebanon working with children and youth through capacity building in institutional development and supporting their service provision programmes to increase opportunities for children and youth. The target groups are the middle management of the five NGOs and children and youth living in Palestinian refugee camps through service provision. Activities are capacity building through regular on-the-job training to introduce implementation, monitoring and planning tools, 12 specialized workshops (yearly) for the middle management on project planning, implementation and monitoring, 3 evaluations of the local NGOs projects according to PCM, produce PR materials, 12 one-day workshops on cross-cutting issues. Service provision: educational support activities for children and youth as well as activities to improve life-skills and raise awareness on issues such as child/human rights, gender awareness and leadership.
